What's Been Going on in the Campo

06/07/07 Harvesting Onions

We have been using onions from the garden for a month or more but those we planted in the autumn have now matured (and are a good size).
We have now lifted them and left them lying on the ground for the tops to dry off completely before hanging them under the overhang of a single story roof where they will be shaded from the sun.
Meanwhile, the onions planted out this spring are growing well and will soon be at a usable size.
