29/07/07 Picked the first Cucumber

First cucumber of the year, will go well in a salad together with some baby beetroot.
These are not the long narrow cucumber that you see in the UK shops but the much shorter, slightly prickly skinned type, and we shall expect to be able to pick one approximately every other day for a while.
