05/08/07 Watering 3 times Per Week
As it gets hotter (generally 35 deg C for most of the day) and the growing plants have more need for water, we are now watering most of the vegetable garden 3 times per week.
The plants appearing to need most water are the pumpkin, melons, courgettes, tomatoes and peppers.
We have never got on too well flooding a flat area of vegetables - I never seam to be able to get the garden as level as our Spanish neighbours manage. I prefer to grow everything on slight ridges, leaving a trench in between that can be flooded with water.
