02/10/07 Melons Out, Broad Beans In
The melons have finished (later than usual) and as soon as they have come out, broad beans have gone in. This is how our crop rotation usually works.
We usually get our first broad beans around Christmas or soon after. We rarely cook these but eat them raw as tapas with a glass of red wine, in true Spanish fashion. If you haven't eaten broad beans in this way before you will be pleasantly surprised.
