25/05/09 Tomatoes and Potatoes on flower

The potatoes are in-fact the later ones, planted a month after those we are digging at the moment. I always enjoy seeing potatoes on flower - a hartening site.
The tomatoes have surprisingly large flowers - different to those I have grown in the past. This makes me wonder if they are the large irregular shaped type you see in the market and shops. I didn't hjave a lot of choice when I bought the plants and only asked if they were the type that needed supporting on canes (which they did).
