30/12/09 Everything Growing but Broad Beans Disappointing

Over the last 10 days or so we have had around 10 litres per sq m (4 inches) of much needed rain. That, together with some warmer weather giving daytime temperatures of around 20 deg, has meant that things are growing.

The broad beans are a disappointing however - they have been in flower since the end of October and we had expected to be picking them by now. However, there are only a few small pods there - hopefuly there are more to come.
