Cucumber - Pepino

Cucumbers are quite easy to grow during the summer when you may like them in salads, so if you do like them, why not grow them.

Being a large seed they are very easy to grow in a warm situation with moisture, or if you prefer, you can buy plants ready to plant out.

Cucumbers will appreciate some manure underneath them and should be planted around 1 m apart.
The varieties normally grown are quite short when mature (15 20cm) and a rough skin, compared to those in the UK shops.
